To Get to the Race from the Hotel: Go left out of motel on Post Road (US1) for about 2 miles until you cross Hwy 117. Turn left on Hwy 117 and go through the middle of Warwick. After only a few blocks, you will go under a railroad track. Just after you emerge from under the tracks, you will see a fork in the road, take the right hand for (the main road goes slightly to the left), this is Long Street but I don't think there is a sign. Stay on this street all the way to the park (2 miles). There is a jog and the street changes names but just keep going. Go to the end of the park by the water. You will have to make a left just before the dog park.

It is about 85 miles to the Red Island Marathon. Go south out of the parking lot (left turn) for about one mile past US 5, then make a U turn to get on US 5 going north and east. Go for about 4 miles and merge onto CT-2 East Go about 35 miles. Merge into I-395, go 9 miles and take Exit 22 to CT-138 into RI where the road changes its number to RI-165. Now merge into I-95 North and take Exit 10 to Warwick. After a half mile get on 117 and follow it through Warwick. As you go under a railroad overpass, look to your right and make a half right onto Long Street (no sign for Long St.). Stay on Long St. and it will take you to City Park and the Red Island Marathon (there is a slight jog at one point). Go to the very end of the park (there is a left turn at one point). You will know you are in the right place when you see a parking lot with a beach beyond. Park your car in the parking lot. You have arrived. The location of the Red Island is Lat. 41.689001 and Lon. -71.40646

We planned the Red Island Marathon so that this last race will be the closest to Logan Airport (about 63 miles) in Boston, where many of you flew in. To get there backtrack and take I-95 North. Have a safe Trip home!
