New England Challenge FAQ

Are the courses flat?

The courses are scenic and beautiful; however, our only true flat course would be the Old Colony Marathon in Massachusetts.


Are these races chip timed? Are the courses USATF certified? Are these races Boston Qualifiers?

Yes to all three questions!


Do I have to do all six marathons?

No, you can register anywhere from one race to all six.


Do you have early starts?

No, all our races start at 6AM.


Do you have a time limit?

We have a seven hour time limit. If you feel like you need more time, send us a message!


How often do you have water stops?

All of our races have one aid station right next to the start/finish line. We also have a secondary water station for our Granite State Marathon (Nashua, New Hampshire) and Maple Leaf Marathon (Fairlee, VT). Check out our race information for the length of each loop.


What kind of food do you provide?

Prior to the pandemic, we offered all kinds of food like:

Everyday: Chips, Cookies, Pretzels, Peanut M&M’s, Jelly Beans, Energy Balls, Salted Baby Potatoes & Sandwiches (Peanut Butter & Jelly, Turkey & Cheese and Ham & Cheese)

Specials (Each day we would have 2 to 3 of the following menu items available): Vegetarian Pesto Pasta Salad, Sweet & Sour Meatballs, Hotdogs with Caramelized Onions, Pork Spring Rolls, Veggie & Tofu Spring Rolls, Chicken Noodle Soup, Veggie Chili and Pasta with Meatballs in Red Sauce

However, as of late, we offer water, gatorade and GU. Plus, small individually packaged snacks.


Can I defer for next year? Do you offer refunds?

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds or deferrals.


Do you provide accommodations for the race?

No, but we do have host hotels with price quotes. If you're looking to share a room, our facebook page is a great resource to finding other runners.


What's the swag?

For each race, you will receive a medal. If you complete all six races (the entire series), you will get in addition to the six medals from each race, a seventh huge one. You will also receive a shirt from the series.


How much is each race?

The Full Marathon is $95, increasing to $105 on 9/12/2021, increasing to $115 on 3/6/2022 and increasing to $130 on 5/1/2022. 

The Half Marathon is $80, increasing to $90 on 9/12/2021, increasing to $100 on 3/6/2022 and increasing to $115 on 5/1/2022.

Online registration closes on May 7, 2022. 


Do you have a discount if we register for more than one race?

Yes! If you sign up and register for more than one race, you automatically get a $5 off multi-entry discount. This means that for each additional race, you receive $5 off at the time of registration.


Do you accept race day registration?

Yes, we do! Race day registration for the full marathon is $145 and for the half marathon is $130.
